**Job duties **of the position offered**
- Preparing Indian Curries, Tandoori Indian Breads, Tandoori Kebabs, Indian Starters, Biryanis, Indian Chutneys, Indian Desserts, etc
- Presenting dishes as per the requirement of the dish
- Undertake the seasoning and cooking of food as per the standards
- Prepare the gravies and sauces as per the business requirements
- Portioning foods to minimize food and supply waste
- Maintain Tandoor (Charcoal Oven) in a working state
- Regulating temperatures of cooking equipment like grills and tandoor ovens
- Store food at the right temperature with the usage of a chillier and freezer
- Maintaining hygiene at all times
- Help with stocktaking and reporting it to the Chef
- Clean and keep the kitchen as required by NZ standards
- Assist in resolving customer complaints and preparing food as per the customers dietary requirements
- Ensuring excellent and consistent meals are delivered to guests all the time
- Train other kitchen staff whenever required

**Requirements of the position offered -**
- 1 year of work experience or relevant level 2 or 3 qualification
- Experience in preparing Indian Cuisine is an advantage
- Experience in Tandoor and Curry styles of cooking
- Be available to work on weekends and public holidays as per the roster
- Flexibility to work within a 7-Days a week operation including split shifts
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with good communication skills and team spirit
- Able to work till late evenings
- This is a busy restaurant so applicants must be a good team player
