WiTricity is seeking a Senior Firmware R&D Engineer to join our team in Auckland, New Zealand. This role will collaborate with a global team supporting the product development of a Wireless Charging Electric Vehicle product.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, develop, and document embedded software for WiTricity WPT solutions
- Conduct architecture design for embedded system with variety of microprocessor
- Implement power electronics control algorithms in firmware
- Work collaboratively with firmware team members and team members of other disciplines to design, integrate, test, and debug the WPT system
- Provide hands-on support of system test and verification
- Use source control systems in place at WiTricity for the maintenance of the code base and to provide proper revision control and release structure.
- Provide Maintenance, Support, and Development of Version control and source code configuration management.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure for Embedded Software Testing.

**Requirements**:

- BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree
- 3+ years of embedded programming experience
- Fluent in C/C++ for embedded targets
- Proficient with microcontroller IDE design/development tools
- Proficient in lab debug, including usage of power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, and in-circuit debuggers.
- Ability to follow circuit schematics and PCB layout drawings
- Familiarity with power electronics and embedded real-time control systems
- Flexibility to work on other tasks as required such as development of system architecture, prototype builds, etc.

**Desired Skills**:

- Experience with Python or MATLAB programming
- Familiarity with a variety of microcontrollers from NXP, ST or TI
- Experience in developing embedded software with RTOS
- Knowledge of wireless power transfer systems
- Experience with automotive development and MISRA guidelines
