One of Wellington's leading tech startups with an innovative, proven product in the fintech space, is looking to add a Data Analyst to their growing team. Working in an organsiation which places data at the heart of the product, you’ll work with senior stakeholders and decision makers, turning data into usable information and presenting that such that product and client teams can make better decisions. Experience with good size databases and SQL is important, and a background in Business Intelligence or Data Engineering would be a great platform.

You’ll be working with experienced industry and startup vets, both on the product side and within tech leadership. With solid backing and an established product, they are working with some of the biggest clients in the domestic market and on the way to being able to service other international clients. If you want to be part of a scaling journey, with supportive management and a culture that prioritises good decisions and data practices, this is your next gig.

**Responsibilities**
- Analyse data and report the results, trends, and patterns to relevant departments of the organization
- Identify problems and propose solutions based on data analysis
- Effectively clean and transform data in preparation for analysis
- Work with program managers to define reporting and business intelligence requirements
- Work with the data management team in data modelling review process to help in effectively translating business requirements to technical requirements as needed
- Become fluent with existing data models and contribute to their evolution
- Work alongside diverse teams within the organization

**Key Skills**
- Strong data quality management skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to explain complex technical topics in an easily digestible manner.
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks as needed to meet multiple project deadlines and deliverables
- Strong understanding of Data, BI or spreadsheet tools
- Willingness to work independently and as part of a team.
