Are you ready to join our Team, as a Dental Assistant in the Community Oral Health Team? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Team, working alongside our Dental Therapists / Oral Health Therapists / Dentists with tamariki, whānau and tangata whaiora.
This is a permanent full time position in Wairoa, although part-time hours maybe considered.
You will need to:
Be customer focused and enjoy interacting with tamariki, their whānau and tangata whaiora.
Have an ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds.
Be interested in oral health and be ready to train in four handed chairside assistance.
To have good organisational skills, being able to multi-task, anticipate requirements and complete tasks.
Be flexible, able to problem solve and easily adapt to a variety of work environments.
Value Team work, with an ability to work cooperatively. Recognising and valuing the roles of each of our Team and those with whom we partner and liaise with.
Have an ability to manage own workload and set priorities, being proactive in completing tasks
Be readily able to adapt to new challenges and take on new responsibilities.
Have a strong interest in ongoing learning, there are personal and professional development opportunities.
You will need a Drivers Licence.
We provide full training towards the role, so prior experience in dental services is not a necessity. We are committed to Maori Health equity and increasing Maori and Pasifika participation in our workforce.
We have an experienced team working throughout Hawke’s Bay, with a real passion for delivering effective services to meet the needs of our Community. Our Service is located across many sites and this role will require you to work at different sites as rostered.
