**Butchery Assistant Manager - New World Wigram**

**Permanent Full -time**

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic person to join our Butchery team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a very successful team of Butchers who produce a wide range of products each day for our loyal and supportive customers.

This is an opportunity for a person who is already confident in their abilities and has team supervising/management experience.

The Butchery Assistant Manager reports to the Butchery Manager and assists with the day to day running of the department.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- ensuring our customers are our number one priority
- slicing, cutting and preparing meats for display
- ensuring our high, quality standards are maintained
- being able to assist customers with their selection and make recommendations
- ensuring compliance with all health & safety and food safety procedures
- Ordering stock and liaising with suppliers
- Achieving and improving on set targets
- Covering the Manager while they are away on leave
- Have proven experience with supervising and managing a team
- Have the relevant qualifications and retail experience
- Effectively communicate with a diverse range of people
- Be competent using computer programs - SAP experience will be ideal
- Experience in the management of food safety and health and safety

This is a full-time position of Sunday to Thursday, 40 hours per week. Specific shift times will be discussed during the interview process.
