Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, the Sales Director will develop and implement sales strategies to ensure that we meet and exceed revenue goals through a combination of customer retention and new customer acquisition. We are pretty flexible on location, though we would love it if you were based in Wellington or Auckland.

**Requirements**:
The Sales Director is responsible for leading a high performing sales team to execute Silverstripes profitably, and develops and maintains a superior customer experience across our customer base. This position will work closely with the Marketing function and will be responsible for ensuring our customer base grows, and sales increase, through successful marketing campaigns.

Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of our products and services, our ideal customers and our value proposition, through market research and analytics is essential for success. Building successful relationships within and across the business will also be key - ideally, you will have connections across a particular or multiple industries.

**We’re looking for people who**:

- Can develop and execute sales strategies including the design and delivery of annual sales incentive plans (SIP) for sales team members
- are strong advocates for clients and can facilitates conversations internally to educate on customer needs and wants
- are strategic communicators and can effectively engage with a wide-range of stakeholders to build cross-functional relationships
- know how to get things done, whether it’s motivating the team or buying that person the donut they’ve been craving
- work under pressure and maintain effective working relationships with wide range of personalities across a complex organisation
- can confidently lead presentations and client meetings.

**What will I need to be successful?**
- Previous experience exceeding high value sales targets over a number of years in a similar role
- Previous leadership experience in Sales
- Strong interpersonal skills - building relationships with a diverse range of people from managers to C-suite executives
- Thorough understanding of web design, development, hosting and project management approaches
- Previous experience using CRM, Salesforce and/or other reporting tools
- Experience in IT or ICT (technology/Digital) service industry _(highly desirable) _
