Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role
Reporting to the Group Manager Learning Support Service Delivery, the Principal Advisor will work across the Learning Support Service Delivery team and develop networks at all levels of the organisation whilst providing leadership and management for the development and delivery of education initiatives in Learning Support. They will be directly accountable for providing implementation and programme support to projects, providing support to the Group Manager Service Delivery for strategic priorities, particularly for priority learners.
The salary band for this role is between $110,923 - $135,573 with appointments typically being placed around midpoint on this scale depending on skills and experience.

Mōhou ake | About you
To be successful in this role you will bring the following skills:

- Significant relationship building and management experience including liaising with, communicating to, consulting with and influencing stakeholders
- Proven record in presenting high quality, timely and credible advice to high level decision makers
- Understanding of issues involved in the effective implementation and achievement of outcomes in the social sector
- Project planning and management skills, and the ability to develop and maintain responsive systems for planning and implementation, managing records and information, and tracking work programmes
- Sound understanding of Machinery of Government, public sector delivery structures and systems

Mātau rōpū ake | About our group and team
Te Mahau | Te Pae Aronui (Operations & Integration). We use information, insights and service design functions to help the three Te Mahau frontline groups design and deliver services for our sector. We service and support the frontline groups and play an integration role between the enabling functions and our frontline services. Our group provides nationally consistent service design, practice guidance and systems to support the integrated teams led by Directors of Education providing flexible and responsive services.
We deliver national resourcing functions, including inclusive learning support, and national regulatory functions.
Our teams around the country work closely with the Early Childhood and Schooling sectors, providers, and communities to provide support, expertise and resources to help children and young people reach their full potential. We also directly provide Learning Support for around 40,000 children and young people. The Provider Services team is part of Learning Support Delivery.
