**Job Description**:
**About the role**
At TOMRA Food we are committed to our brand and as we continue to invest globally, we are looking for a passionate Senior Mechanical Production Engineer, to be based at our Onehunga office. Your work will be purposeful, and you will play an important role supporting and reporting into our Technical Support Team Lead. Here's a sneak peek into some of what you will be doing:
- Act as the 'glue' between Product Development, Operations, and Product Management teams for all technical related support
- Lead/support product transfer activities
- Maintain product alignment between our global sites
- Establish 'best practices'
- Support active lifecycle/sustain engineering activities (product maintenance, obsolescence, etc.)
- Be accountable for the technical specifications of parts and assemblies, maintain drawings/schematics, support ECN implementation
- Establish and implement test equipment
- Support design, implementation of Jigs and fixtures
- Support procurement and quality functions with the qualification of new suppliers/parts
**Qualifications**:
**About you**:
- Previous experience in a production engineering role (ideally in a company with mid-high-level volume production of mechanical assemblies with cellular-based structures and assembly lines)
- Previous experience in the setup and maintenance of Bills-Of-Materials (BOMs)
- Previous exposure to Change Control (ECN, Deviation) and Non-Conformance processes
- Knowledge of drawing practices
- Previous exposure working within New Product Development processes
- Previous exposure to production engineering processes
- Experience with Solidworks
- Computer savvy; especially Microsoft Office products
