Processing Officer - On Call

Working as a Processing Officer with NZ Post you are hands on sorting, consolidating and dispatching parcels and freight at our Saxton Road Depot ready for our couriers to deliver. You could be working in any of our products' processing areas, like preparation, manual or machine sorting, consolidation and dispatch. Its pretty varied, and you keep fit on the job
On Call Processing Officers are an essential part of our business as we call on them to assist us as and when required. You might be called in to cover illness, extended leave or help us our during our peak delivery periods. It's a great way to balance work and lifestyle, earn some extra money or pick up some more shifts.

**In this dynamic job you will**:

- Sort our customer's parcels, freight and some mail from our Saxton Road Depot in Stoke
- Dispatch correctly to our couriers to ensure they can deliver on time
- Handle freight in a careful and professional manner
- Liaise with various internal contacts to solve problems and raise issues where required

**To be successful in this role you will need to**:

- Be able to work on call as and when required covering 4am - 7am Monday to Saturday and 4pm - 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Let us know what works for you

- Be ready for a physically demanding role - heavy lifting is required
- Enjoy working hard and be confident managing your time
- Have an accurate eye for detail and a sense of urgency
- Have good geographical knowledge of your local area
