Sawmill Operator

We're looking for a Sawmill Engineer to maintain and repair the machinery.

**Responsibilities**:
Repairs and Maintenance.

Keeping the plant and equipment fully operational.

Working with the other maintenance engineers, contractors, management, and staff on the site to carry out work as required.

Attending to breakdowns and getting equipment up and running as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Taking a pragmatic approach to dealing with a task and evaluating the cost versus downtime and long-term outcome.

Reviewing and improving the current preventative maintenance plan.

Organising the workshop tools and equipment as required.

Maintaining a pragmatic and well considered approach to health and safety, including risk assessment before starting a task.

Discipline in the use of lock out tags and hot work permits.

A safety-first culture.

Having a good level of co-operation and communication with other workers, department managers and suppliers.

Keeping focused and maintaining a professional approach when under pressure.

Always acting with honesty and integrity

You must pass a pre-employment drug test and have reliable transport.
