**About us**:
The Education Review Office (ERO) works for the benefit of New Zealand’s young children and students. Within ERO, the Education Evaluation Centre provides independent advice on the performance and quality of education in New Zealand and how to improve practice. We have specialised evaluation expertise, and a deep connection to schools and services, so we can provide relevant insights and be a catalyst for change on the ground.

**About the role**:
We can offer you an exciting and varied evaluation work programme - you might be looking at the overall performance of the education system; doing a deep dive into provision for key groups; evaluated government funded initiatives; or working on a thematic review of aspects of the system. Types of projects we have underway include school practices in embracing diverse cultures; and good practice in the deployment of teacher aides. We have a team culture that is collaborative, supportive and professional.

Our work is fast paced, and with this comes a sense that your evaluation outputs are having a direct and immediate impact in the real world. An example of our work last year can be found here:
**About you**:
We are keen to hear from you if you bring evaluation or research expertise, comfort working in a fast paced environment, and a desire to produce evaluation products that are useful and will have a real impact. You’ll be a team player, with great relationship management skills, who thrives on a challenge and enjoys learning from others.

We have a large, experienced team and so we are flexible about appointing at a range of levels, depending on your experience.
