An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated person to join our team in our Dunedin office. We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer to provide IT support within New Zealand and assist with our Global IT activities.

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will help support the company's wide range of IT needs, including administration, purchasing, assembly, software installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair. Your role will include maintaining documentation for internal servers and virtual machines in addition to maintaining records of IT assets. You will assist with implementing security measures to protect data, software, and hardware and perform data backup and disaster recovery operations. You’ll be part of a dedicated IT team and get to work closely with colleagues around the world.

This role would ideally be suited to a graduate or someone starting a new career in IT Support. To be considered for this role, you will have a tertiary qualification or experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related area. A broad understanding of computer hardware and software is essential, and previous experience with Systems Administration for Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, or Linux would be an advantage. Your ability to convey technical information to those without a technical background, build confidence and understanding, and exercise due care with critical systems; will see you succeed in this position. You will possess the ability to prioritise tasks, handle interruptions and provide a quick turn-around under pressure.
