**How you’ll make an impact**

As a Senior Consultant, your role will be to support the integration of acquisitions and investments made by Xero. You will be responsible for a range of activities including the development of integration strategies and plans and the delivery of post-deal implementation programmes (or workstreams) that are critical to extracting the value of each unique transaction. You will work closely with all functions within Xero and target companies, across all levels, including senior executives and founders of the businesses we acquire.

**What you’ll do**:

- Work as a key member within a global M&A Integrations team (with members based in AU, NZ, and US), with multiple live integration programmes underway
- Support and manage discrete elements of the M&A process from an integrations perspective e.g. inputting into the pre-term sheet negotiations, supporting due diligence and integration planning, defining appropriate governance / operating models for the acquired entity, etc.
- Deliver key sections of the integration plan, coaching other teams and functions through the process e.g. day 1 readiness assessment, tracking post-implementation progress / synergies etc.
- Act as the primary day to day interface with cross-functional representatives and senior executives to develop integration strategies and post-acquisition hypotheses
- Develop appropriate governance structures for acquired businesses
- Contribute to business case development for each acquisition, including the growth synergies and the detailed integration plan
- Work with key stakeholders to implement post-acquisition value creation plans
- Develop and maintain effective relationships across Xero and the businesses we acquire
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Xero’s integration approach including development of new collateral, processes, and approaches
- Mentor and support development of junior staff

**What you’ll bring with you**:

- Foundational M&A Integration / Consulting experience Experience in performing due diligence (operational and commercial) and exposure to integration planning
- Experience in quantifying and delivering synergies or a value creation plan in a growth scenario
- Experience driving and embedding change
- Proven ability to drive programs that engage key stakeholders
- Experience within a SaaS based company
- Experience working on complex programs of work
