**What will you be doing?**

We’re on the hunt for a **Tech Lead** within our** Machine Learning** team. You will join a cross-functional, agile development team who are leading ground-breaking research in machine learning, exploring meaningful ways to minimise waste, reduce operating costs and help clinicians make more accurate decisions at the point of care**.**

As a Machine Learning Tech Lead you will:

- Make crucial design decisions and guide software development
- Play an integral part in shaping the technical direction of new products
- Translate customer and business objectives into technical solutions through effective design and architecture
- Engage with a range of external customers and Orion Health product teams
- Lead hands-on development, delivering software through to production
- Coach and mentor engineers and data scientists
- Manage one direct report with the opportunity for team growth over time.

**What will you bring to the role?**
- **Experience**:You have a minimum of 5-10 years commercial experience as a software developer, ideally with some being a Tech Lead, and working in cross-functional development teams.
- **Skills**:You are proficient in Python and familiar with ML libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, modern data architecture, cloud computing and containers. NLP experience is a plus.
- **Characteristics**:You’re passionate about keeping up with the latest technology, particularly in the world of machine learning. Product-oriented, you love solving real-world customer problems. Boasting a wealth of knowledge, you have a desire to share this to support the growth and development of a high-performing team.
