Te Mahi/About the Position

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Assistant to help maintain a clean and safe environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. You will play a key role in ensuring our facilities meet high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, contributing to the comfort and wellbeing of everyone in our care.

Key aspects of this role include:

- Carrying out daily cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
- Ensuring compliance with cleaning schedules and safety standards.
- Safely handling and storing cleaning materials and equipment.
- Supporting the team in maintaining a hygienic and safe environment for residents and staff.
- Reporting maintenance or safety issues to the Hospitality Manager.
- Promoting a safe and healthy workplace in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act (2015).
- Upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your daily work.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential).
- Physical fitness, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- An eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
- Full drivers license.
