Christchurch Exterior Plastering is seeking 2 full-time reliable assistant plasterers to work in our team in Christchurch, Canterbury. Key Requirements: NCEA level 2 basic qualifications, training will be provided. Assisting the experienced plasterers to install AAC panel, screwing, cutting, lifting, priming, measuring, installing flashing. using trowels, and levelling and smoothing coats to uniform thickness. Assist in prepping jobs for plaster system - masking windows, sealing panel, rolling mesh, cutting corner beads. Assisting in erecting scaffolding as and when needed. Assisting in cleaning up the area. Ability to use variety of tools / equipment such as brushes and sandpaper etc. Excellent work ethic and attention to detail. Good understanding of health & safety procedures. Ability to provide quality work in a timely manner. Ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to work during the weekends and on a rotational basis. Plastering materials and equipment will be provided by the company. Must have clean character record and pre-employment drug test. Remuneration will vary from $26.00 to $28.00 an hour with minimum of 30 hours a week. Any overtime will be paid as per the base payrate. NZ Citizens or residents will be preferred for this position.
