The Senior Policy & Regulatory Compliance Officer is a varied and fast paced role that will report to the General Counsel Downstream and Todd Management Services. This position is part of a collaborative team that is involved across a wide range of business initiatives and legislative changes. This role is responsible for managing the policy and regulatory compliance programme across the Group and driving a positive culture of engagement for compliance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining governance structures for policy and regulatory compliance functions
- Supporting the Divisional Policy and Regulatory Compliance Stewards
- Coordinating the assessment of new NZ legislation impacts across a wide range of areas (i.e. Employment, Privacy, Fair Trading, Competition law) and integrating into policy and regulatory compliance management
- Undertaking continuous process improvements to enhance tools and processes in line with best practice

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of risk frameworks, policy and regulatory management
- Three to five years’ experience in a legal or compliance assurance type role
- Policy and compliance experience preferred
- Strong influencing skills with ability to motivate and enlist cooperation of internal stakeholders
- Have well-developed oral and written communication skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to tailor communications to meet audience needs
