As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented **Audit Officer** to strengthen our internal audit function and ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency across all levels of the organisation.

The **Audit Officer** will play a key role in evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying potential risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies, and recommending process improvements to enhance overall effectiveness. This role requires close collaboration with various departments, site visits, and the preparation of comprehensive audit reports.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across departments and construction sites.
- Review internal processes and systems to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and adherence to established policies.
- Analyse financial records, contracts, and project documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify areas of potential risk, fraud, or non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare clear and concise audit reports with findings, evidence, and actionable recommendations.
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of audit plans, tools, and checklists.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations, industry best practices, and emerging audit techniques.
- Support external auditors and regulatory bodies during reviews or inspections.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR
- Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in auditing, accounting, and/or finance field.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, risk management, and internal controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting/audit software
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
