**Join the YMCA Taranaki Whānau Casual Out of School Care Assistant**

Are you passionate about working with tamariki (children) and making a positive impact in your community? YMCA Taranaki is on the lookout for **fun, energetic, and caring individuals** to join our Out of School Care team on a **casual basis**throughout the year.

We provide safe, engaging, and supportive before and after school care services across New Plymouth - based at local primary schools and our central YMCA venue. Our team creates a space where kids can thrive, play, and feel at home.

**When you may be needed**:

- **Before School Care**: 7.30am - 9.00am
- **After School Care**: 2.30pm - 5.30pm
- **Holiday Programmes (School Holidays)**: 7.30am - 5.30pm

**What We're Looking For**:

- A natural rapport with children and experience working with them
- A full driver’s licence
- A bubbly, positive attitude and team spirit
- Initiative and confidence to think on your feet
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
- Ability to engage tamariki in fun, creative activities
- A genuine passion for child-focused work
- Flexibility to jump in when needed
- Good personal presentation and reliable transport

**Bonus Points For**:

- A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
