At YMCA Taranaki, we're all about creating safe, fun, and inspiring spaces for kids before and after school—and during the holidays too We run programmes across New Plymouth, based in local primary schools and at our awesome YMCA venue.

We're on the lookout for a superstar Out of School Care Supervisor to join our crew This is a permanent part-time role with:

12.5–15 hours/week during term time (Mon–Fri)

16 hours/week during school holidays (Mon–Fri)

Rostered hours range from:

  • 7:30–8:30am (Before School Care)
  • 2:30–5:30pm (After School Care)
  • 7:30am–5:30pm (Holiday Programmes)

What Makes You a Great Fit?

We're looking for someone who's:

  • Experienced with children and knows how to keep the fun flowing
  • Holding a full NZ driver's licence is a must
  • A team player who can also fly solo when needed
  • Great at building relationships with whānau and tamariki
  • A top-notch communicator (verbal & written)
  • Full of energy, passion, and creativity
  • Flexible, reliable, and ready to roll with the day's adventures
  • Committed to child safety and wellbeing
  • Professionally presented with reliable transport
  • Calm under pressure and quick on their feet
  • First aid certified (or willing to get certified)

Please note: Due to MSD guidelines for OSCAR programme accreditation, the Out of School Care Supervisor must be at least 20 years of age. This ensures compliance with supervision standards and supports the safety and wellbeing of children in our care.
