Te āheinga The opportunity
We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic Swim School Instructors to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for running effective swim school classes and assisting in maintaining a customer-focused, fun, safe, clean, and well-managed operation of the Aquatic Centre and District Pools Swim School. This role will be approx. 5 hours of work per week on a permanent basis.
Tino takohanga Key responsibilities
Ensure the planning, coordination and delivery of swim classes meets the customers’ needs and maximises the use of facilities
Provide leadership and direction to customers in the performance of children through the production of class reports and certificates
Adhere to all safety provisions
Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation

A recognised swim teaching qualification
A current comprehensive first aid certificate
Experience in planning and writing programmes for all Learn to Swim Programmes
