**About the Role**

Join this exciting opportunity for a motivated and physically fit, fully qualified, and experienced Transmission Linesman to join our busy team at Ventia Central Lines in Palmerston North. You will be working with a small dynamic and dedicated group of Lineman with diverse skills to support the Transpower Maintenance assets for maintenance and projects.

This role will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of live/de-energised conductors, hardware, and structures used in the National Transmission Grid, including as required the erection, repair, and/or dismantling of assets.

**About You - Required Skills and Competencies**
- Registered transmission Line Mechanic with shown ability in de-energised/live line work experience including training.
- Demonstrated high levels of understanding of and adherence to the Health and Safety practices of the Power Transmission Line Industry
- Physically fit especially with regards to heavy lifting, stretching, and climbing; Maintains physical fitness to the level required by the position; Not afraid of heights; Physically flexible; Has and maintains a level of physical fitness that allows working in adverse weather conditions; Manual dexterity
- Valid driver’s license and experience driving appropriate vehicles on all roads, terrain, and weather conditions; Heavy truck license preferred
- Excellent attitude to SHEQ.

To be successful in this role, you will also need to have good communication skills, be flexible towards work hours and location, and be a team player keen on producing quality work for our valuable clients.
