We are currently seeking to employ 4 Transmission Line Mechanics in our Transmission Projects team based at our Palmerston North depot. In this role, you will provide a technical trade’s service to the company’s Transmission Lines Services Division.

**About the Role**

- Identifying electrical systems in preparation for work.
- Climbing and working on electricity network structure.
- Using lines machinery, plant, and equipment in an electricity network environment.
- Determining the condition of electricity lines.
- Developing work plan for construction and servicing of overhead electricity lines and equipment.
- Jointing electricity network overhead conductors.
- Replacing load bearing pole hardware in electrical networks up to 110 kV.
- Overhauling tower structure hardware in electrical networks up to 220 kV.
- Repairing and overhauling electricity network tower foundations.
- Erecting transmission towers.
- Installing and replacing electricity network pole structures.
- Installing electricity network overhead conductors.
- Restoring electricity network lines using emergency structures.
- Dismantling electricity network lines and structures. Dismantling electricity network lines and structures.
- Removing electricity network to overhead pole line installations up to 110 kV.
- Rigging electrical network structures. Installing pad and structure mounted electrical equipment.
- Installing pad and structure mounted electrical equipment.

**About you**
- Electrical Practising Licence or similar
- Hands-on experience in Transmission Line work to industry standards.
- A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements.
- A trade qualification as electrician or transmission line mechanic preferred.
