Pacific Island Freight Station (PIFS) is a warehouse within the NPDL group providing third party logistics warehousing and devanning services to a range of customers. After a reshaping of our warehouse team, we have an exciting opportunity for an **Operations Supervisor**. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this is a hands-on role responsible for the functional management and delivery of operational efficiency.

**The Role**:
In this exciting role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing our customers' experience and fostering strong relationships with our valued service providers. Your top priority will be to maintain an exceptional standard of health and safety, guaranteeing that our operations run smoothly and safely. As the supervisor overseeing all warehouse activities, you'll collaborate closely with other staff members to create a well-organised and efficient work schedule. By optimising our service delivery, you'll have the opportunity to maximise our resources and make a significant impact on the overall success of our organisation.

**What you will be doing**:

- Managing and directing the daily workflow of the warehouse team to ensure site efficiencies
- Ensuring Health & Safety is maintained at an operational level
- Liaising with key customers and suppliers to ensure operational efficiency in order to meet and exceed client expectations
- Ensuring regulatory, financial and quantitative data is captured in a timely and accurate manner by the relevant team members
- Managing the end-to-end process for claims handling including associated follow-up action
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement measures on an ongoing basis

You are someone with strong management skills, and an ability to make confident and calculated decisions. You can also help shape the growth of our operation, partnering with our management team to ensure the smooth running of our warehouse on a day-to-day basis.

**Qualifications**:
**What you will bring**:

- A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a Warehouse Management role or similar (preferably in shipping and/or logistics)
- Good working knowledge of current regulations and legislation relating to Workplace Health & Safety
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven leadership skills and ability to adapt
- A drive to exceed goals
- An ability to think strategically and execute with excellence, as well as multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- A forklift licence would be beneficial, but is not essential
- An understanding of Customs, MPI and basic shipping knowledge
