Downer is an industry leader in water, providing water services to a quarter of New Zealanders. We support our customers across the full asset lifecycle from the conceptual development of a project through design, construction, commissioning and whole-of-life support including operations maintenance and optimisation.

As a Treatment Operator, you will be working as part of a dedicated maintenance team on our NZDF maintenance contract delivering the most efficient and quality-driven service possible to our clients. You will work within a committed team to collectively ensure our client's long-term goals are reached within the capabilities of the treatment plants.

**As a Treatment Operator, your key duties will include**:

- Routine water & wastewater treatment plant operations
- Managing workload allocation and planning forward work
- Participating in the call-out roster (once necessary knowledge is gained), responding to alarms and remote monitoring of the SCADA system
- Driving customer service delivery and quality to ensure KPI's are met

- Interest in the water industry, ideally with a Water / Wastewater treatment qualification
- Ability to perform to a high standard
- Be able to work well within a team and by yourself
- Flexiblity to travel between and work at various worksite locations
- Full class 1 driver’s licence
- Sound numeracy, literacy, and computer skills
- Mechanically minded
