Mobile/Workshop Technician - Vehicle Glass

Novus Glass is a recognized and trusted name throughout New Zealand, providing comprehensive vehicle glass services to domestic and commercial customers. Their Timaru branch needs an experienced technician to complete both workshop and site-based vehicle glass replacement and repairs.

**Key duties and responsibilities include**:

- Providing superior customer service to customers by phone and in person
- Using sales knowledge to convert customer enquiries into work orders and upsell services
- Taking customers from enquiry to completion of the required service, keeping them informed throughout
- Prioritizing the customer experience ensuring excellent quality and service
- Performing all workshop duties including windscreen/window/mirror replacement and repair on small and large vehicles
- Providing site-based services for clients, including windscreen/window/mirror replacement and repair, as well as fleet inspections, on small and large vehicles
- Safely operating company vehicles and machinery
- Ensuring job-related administration and record keeping is up to date and accurate within company systems
- Ensuring the health and safety of self and others at all times
- Prior experience in the automotive glass repair and replacement industry (desirable)
- Alternatively, a proven work record in technician roles (eg automotive repairs, maintenance, or similar practical roles), and the ability to be trained to perform autoglazing
- Strong sales and customer service ability
- Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on quality
- Strong communication skills in person and over the phone
- Excellent physical fitness and agility - ability to climb ladders, lift products, and move in and out of vehicles
- Confident computer skills, experience using in-house database or CRM systems
- Ability to use hand-held technology such as tablets and smartphones
- Capability to supervise the workshop in the absence of the branch manager if required, and the skillset to progress into a workshop management role in the future is desirable
