An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. This role will involve the development and delivery of education for the care and support of whānau living with life limiting conditions. Education is delivered internally and externally with our Clinical Nurse Educator collaborating with other educators and specialists to ensure that all education provided is high quality, evidence based and accessible.
**To be the right fit for this role and our organisation you would**:
- Be an NZNO Registered Nurse with a current Practising Certificate
- Have a Post Graduate qualification in Palliative Care
- Preferably have a Certificate or equivalent in Adult Education
- Have significant clinical experience, including at least two years recent experience working with palliative care patients and whānau
- Be experienced in developing and delivering education
- Be comfortable working autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Have emotional maturity and resilience
- Bring a passion for supporting palliative patients, their family/whānau and caregivers
- Have a current full and clean New Zealand driver’s licence
The successful applicant will be required:
- To undertake pre-employment health screening (including drug testing) and complete a Ministry of Justice criminal records check, the results of which must be to Hospice Waikato’s satisfaction.
- To have NZ residency or a valid work visa.
- To be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and show proof of vaccination as required by health providers.
