Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
As the Senior Technical Systems Analyst, you will lead the direction of the programme of work supporting our core workflow management tool, ‘Activate'. Central to the work of the entire Ministry you will be the central point of contact for the integrity, efficiency and accessibility of the system. You will be responsible for supporting the ongoing operation and maintenance of Activate and ensure user support, maintain system documentation, fault diagnosis and resolution, recommend system enhancements and engaging with business users and vendors. You will identify opportunities for improvement, articulate useability, bring on supported and build investment cases. The wider team will provide analysis and advice and support the administration, development and maintenance for the system
You will run and develop a programme of work optimising the use of Activate and will ensure positive working relationships and a partnership approach to solutions is at the heart of your delivery. To enable this you will build investment cases.

Mōu - About You
You will be familiar with how projects work and have worked in the IT industry may also have some experience with working with a Helpdesk. Key to your success will be your ability to get to the root of a problem and work with people to find solutions.
You will need the following skills and experience to be successful:

- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Previous experience working in the IT industry
- Ability to manage multiple streams of work with a strong level of prioritisation
- Demonstrates technical competency in area of specialisation
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to streamline systems and processes
- High level of imitative to identify opportunities and resolve issues
- Familiarity with system administration and reporting
- Ability to write and interpret requirements and user stories
- Experience Activate and/or AzureDevOps is desirable but not essential.
