We are currently seeking a full time Junior Duty Chef to join our team based at University Hall. In this role you will:

- Maintain a healthy, clean catering environment with a focus on delivering nutritional, healthy and cost-effective meals of a high quality for residents, ensuring all dietary requirements are met.
- Support the Head Chef in implementing Academic year and Summer Stays catering plans.
- Support the team in food preparation and stock control.
- Support the Head Chef in maintaining high kitchen operational standards.

**You must have/be**:

- At least 2 years experience in a commercial kitchen or similar
- A relevant qualification is preferred though not required
- Experience developing menus that are cost-effective, nutritious, current and tasty
- Ability to prioritise, multitask, show initiative and work well under pressure
- Experience dealing with suppliers and the ordering processes
- Experience in efficiently controlling stock levels
- Honest, dependable, diligent, flexible and enthusiastic

This is a permanent, full time Junior Duty Chef position, during university term time.
