If you're meticulous, willing to learn and thrive on being process-oriented, you might just be the person we've been looking for. - Become part of a positive team servicing your local CARTERS community. - Competitive remuneration and benefits plan - Forge a long-term career with promotion opportunities. **About the role** You'll work in consultation with the Regional Health & Safety Advisor and support the Branch Manager to ensure that the branch and its team members are part of an active health and safety culture. - ** Champion health and safety processes and initiatives. **Assist with and implement your branch's health and safety action plan along with managing the day-to-day health and safety functions which include running inductions with new team members/contractors, manage the H&S training matrix and ensure training is refreshed - ** Identify, analyse and report safety hazards or near misses** and implement effective solutions. - ** Process and maintain compliance records** through our "Risk Manager" database. - ** Provide excellent customer service** and maintain positive relationships with our customers. **About you** You'll succeed in this role because you have the following skills, experience, and values: - ** Proven awareness of health and safety legislation **in this industry. - ** A confident and articulate communicator. **You're an advocate for all things health and safety, working with customers and team members to ensure legislation and processes are understood. - ** Highly focused. **You work well under pressure and can prioritise work effectively. - ** Advanced computer skills. **Ability to work easily with Microsoft suite. - ** Building or trade industry knowledge **is advantageous. **Build your future with CARTERS** At CARTERS, we've been helping build New Zealand - and Kiwi trade careers - for over 150 years.
