We are currently expanding our Perioperative Unit at Hawkes Bay DHB which has created an exciting opportunity for passionate nurse leaders with perioperative nursing experience to join us as Clinical Nurse Coordinators.

The Perioperative Unit encompasses 7 (soon to be 8) Operating Theatres, PACU, DSU, Sterile Services and a 23 hr Unit. We have a well-established senior team managing and coordinating our unit in hours but the time has come to have more senior support after hours and weekends as well.

We are wanting to hear from Registered Nurses with a passion for Acute Surgery to oversee and coordinate the Perioperative Unit after hours and weekends. This role will ensure all acute surgical patients requiring surgery experience a safe, timely and efficient journey.

You will have strong desire to provide outstanding nursing care, with the patient being centric to every decision you make. You will be clinically independent, have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be dedicated to professional development. You will enjoy change management and strive to improve service delivery. In turn we will provide you with professional supervision and mentoring to support your career development and growth with us.
