**About the Role**
Due to increased workload from consistent new projects, these are fixed-term roles with the potential to become permanent. We prefer experienced and qualified UAV/ Drone Pilots but are also open to hobbyists that want to make a career out of it The primary responsibilities will include:

- Creating flight plans and submitting them for approval to the chief pilot
- Flying a variety of UAVs, single rotors and multi-copter
- Creating statistical models of client’s assets
- Post processing data collected during any missions.

You will be working with a variety of stakeholders including working with the CAA and the Civil Aviation Act.

It is expected that you will ensure all missions run safely and smoothly utilizing risk assessments to identify any safety measures to put in place This is the only position like it Join this unique and exciting opportunity

**About You**
Ideally, this role will be based in Auckland as most of the team is situated there, but we are open to anyone outside Auckland as well. To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in flying UAVs/ drones and working with GIS is an advantage
- CAA certificate in Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems is beneficial
- Advanced data analysis with Mission Planner, Visual Studio, R, or python exposure is a plus
- Excellent communication and IT skills
- Ability to work within a team and be flexible and adaptable in a complex environment
- Be willing to be upskilled
- Have a valid class 1 driver’s license - lots of opportunities for Travel (with allowance)
