We are looking for 2 trustworthy and experience tractor drivers/machinery operators to work within our busy horticulture company.

As a tractor driver/machinery operator your responsibilities will include driving/operating tractors, forklifts,, other machinery as required to complete orchard operations.

**What does the role involve**:

- Driving tractors, Vans and other farm implements
- Operating tractors safely and efficiently.
- Performing inspections of tractors and attachments and ensuring they are well-lubricated.
- Using tractors to transport materials and pull or push Horticultural equipment.
- Operating tractors in fields.
- Reporting any faults or concerns to the Farm Manager.
- Remaining alert while driving and maintaining the appropriate speed limit at all times.
- Operating other farm equipment
- Follow routes and time schedule
- Follow H&S regulations and safety standards
- Completing Job Sheets
- as required to meet seasonal needs.

**Skills Required**:

- The ability to identify and react appropriately to hazards.
- Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment/other orchard/farming machinery.
- Experience performing maintenance on tractors and other farming equipment.
- The ability to carry out duties unsupervised, in harsh weather conditions, and during irregular hours when required.
- The ability to follow instructions.
- To be successful as a tractor driver, you should have good concentration skills and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Outstanding tractor/delivery drivers are detail-oriented and demonstrate strength as well as active listening skills.

**Pay rate: $30.00 per hours**

**Hours of work: 30 hours per week minimum.** Business operates within the hours of 8:00am 6:00pm, Monday Sunday.

**Salary**: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Tauranga, Bay of Plenty: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
