**Mō te tūnga | About the role** The Primary Care and Product Owner will play a crucial role in supporting the leadership and management of the Te Tai o Poutini West Coast owned general practices. As the coordinator, you will provide guidance and oversight to ensure the efficient and effective running of the general practices. This includes training and support for the practice teams through a "Train the trainer" model. You will work closely with the wider Te Tai o Poutini West Coast managers and clinical teams to achieve primary health targets, optimize financial performance, and ensure quality data provision. In this role, you will be responsible for: - Providing guidance and oversight to practice teams, ensuring efficient and effective operation of the general practices. - Conducting training sessions and offer support to practice teams, utilizing a "Train the trainer" model. - Collaborating with Te Tai o Poutini West Coast managers and clinical teams to achieve primary health targets. - Optimizing the financial performance of the primary practices by implementing appropriate strategies. - Supporting systems that provide quality data for improved decision-making and patient care. - Act as the "Interpreter" between all Indici stakeholders, ISG, and vendors, ensuring cohesive adoption and constant use of Indici. - Serve as the main point of contact for all requests for change related to Indici and the MyIndici Portal. - Manage and oversee the use of Indici and the MyIndici Portal across various services, including Emergency Department (ED), General Practice (GP), District Nursing (DN), Allied Health, Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS), Complex Clinical Care Network (CCCN), and Population Health. - Take responsibility for Health and Safety, maintaining a high-quality, safe, and secure work environment. - Contribute to Quality Improvement and Initiatives, Health Outcomes & Targets, Financial Performance, Practice Management Support, and Integrated system support. **Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience** **Desirable** - A minimum of four years working in General Practice in an operational role. - Good understanding in the use of the Indici and MedTech patient management systems. - Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel specifically) - Proven ability to navigate complex systems and databases efficiently - Familiarity of quality improvement frameworks, quality project management, and the process development and implementation - Good understanding of best practice processes in the management of general practices. - Understanding of staffing requirements (clinical and non-clinical) for general practices - An understanding of Hospital and Community Service functions - Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team - Able to work unsupervised and be self-motivated - Evidence of ability to manage workloads effectively in a planned and coordinated manner - Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion - Ability to foster co-operation, networking, and facilitation **Mō mātou | About Us** - Ehara taku I toa takitahi engari, he toa takitini_ - My strength is not the strength of one, it is the strength of many_ - Ko ngā tāngata, te mātua mahi_ - _Putting people at the heart of all we do - _ We are committed to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles by ensuring our partnership with Māori are at the forefront of all our conversations.
