**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Join our team and help protect Auckland’s parks and reserves by controlling pest plants and invasive weeds. This is not a gardening role—it’s about environmental care and ensuring our open spaces remain healthy and safe.

You’ll work in a team of two, with one operator and one assistant in a training capacity. Full training will be provided, so if you’re keen to learn and enjoy physical outdoor work, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Identifying and controlling pest plants and invasive species
- Operating equipment and following environmental best practices
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Engaging professionally with members of the public when required

**What We’re Looking For**

- A great attitude and willingness to learn - experience is helpful but not essential
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
- Restricted licence minimum (Full Class 1 preferred; manual advantageous)
- Ability to work in a small team and follow safety protocols
