You'll work within our Customer Experience (CX) division alongside a bunch of colleagues striving to improve travel experiences for people right across Tāmaki Makaurau.

This new role of Creative Art Director is responsible for dreaming up outstanding insightful concepts and bringing them to life with visual impact.

**Key Tasks and responsibilities include**:

- Creating concepts, art directing concepts and maintaining on-brand 'at-a-glance consistency' for Auckland Transports (AT) advertising and communications.
- Collaborating with Creative Director, Creative Lead Designer, Creative Lead Writer, Creative Copywriter to create and art direct concepts to fruition.
- Creating and art directing multiple jobs at any one time which can include; outdoor and print media, retail, collateral, POS, brochures, eDMs, digital banners, video and radio.
- Guiding and directing Artworkers as they assemble work and providing constructive feedback where required. Supporting the learning and development of Artworkers through guidance on individual jobs.Setting and managing delivery expectations with Artworkers team and stakeholders.
- Championing new and innovative ideas. For example creating mock-ups / storyboards for presentation.

**What are we looking for?**
- A portfolio of outstanding creative concepts and art direction
- Portfolio of outstanding brand, retail and DM work across a range of digital and traditional media including video
- Experience working in creative advertising or creative industries
- Good understanding of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Tertiary qualification in advertising and / or graphic design is favourable
- Motion graphics ability would be an advantage
- 5+ years' experience as an Art Director in advertising or creative industry
- Solid experience using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Recent experience in advertising and / or design-related organisation
- Experience preparing work for client presentation.
