Overall responsibility for the quality of the product that leaves the Factory, being defined as the retreaded tyre casing and reject casings plus the relevant information of value and understanding to the customer.

Overall responsibility for implementing and administering the Company's Health and Safety management system and policies.

Within any guidelines set on staff levels, carry out staff recruitment and discipline in consultation with both Manufacturing Division National Retread Manager and Employee Relations Manager.

Ensure all staff allocations to task are with staff that have been trained for the task. Carry out or ensure staff training and routine assessments of capability on an irregular but frequent basis to confirm continuing ability and maintain adequate training records.
To maintain accurate and timely attendance records.

Ensure that inspection procedures, Quality Assurance tests and records for the various critical stages of the production process are in accordance with the standards prescribed.

Monitor stock levels for materials etc and ensure re-order quantities are ordered on a timely basis and that material that requires special handling, storage or has a time limit is correctly processed on arrival and prior to use.

Plan for and monitor that the routine servicing, Factory maintenance and calibration is carried out on a daily basis (or as varied by Management direction) and that where appropriate the authorised trained staff carry out the checks and initiate any repair or other action. Maintain a record of all these checks.

Monitor trends of worn casings returned for retreading, Factory reworks and customer claims to ensure early identification of any product poor performance or failure trends, and initiate action to identify causes and remedial and preventative responses.

Approval must be obtained from the National Retread Manager prior to any final decision on Capital purchases and expenditure on maintenance items [to approved limits and agreed budgets].

Ensure that all audit checks of processes and systems are carried out on a regular and timely basis as laid down and produce relevant performance comparisons on such matters as production to target, wastage, reworks claims etc.

Carry out all such other duties as directed and as may be required from time to time.

**KEY RESULT AREAS (KRAs)**:
1. Achieve factory efficiency rating target as set annually through effective management and training of all employees
2. Achieve reduction of claims target as set annually
3. Achieve budgeted unit conversion cost
4. Reduce NWR rate in line with target set for year
5. Ensure the safety of all persons at your site by completion of Health, Safety & Environment Event Planner tasks for your site as required and ensure that all employees at your site understand, adhere to and follow safe work practices, HSE policy and procedures, including the use of PPE in accordance with company requirements.
