**About the role**:
This role is responsible for improving Cin7’s engineering practises, leading a development team specializing in Integration, coaching and mentoring team members; executing against the product roadmap; building and executing against an Engineering roadmap.

**Responsibilities**:
**Technical Delivery**
- Serves as a member of the Engineering Leadership Team.
- Build the Engineering roadmap in consultation with the Head of Engineering and Cin7 company strategy.
- Owns the execution of the Product roadmap, including estimation, scope control and status/escalation reporting requirements.

**People Management and Mentoring**
- Hiring and resource planning for the development team.
- Direct line management of Developers and Testers.
- Setting and monitoring of targets and personal development goals for development team members.
- Mentor and support team members across multiple projects.

**Team Practices**
- Generating ideas with team members and offering insightful solutions.
- Owns support escalation of bug fixes to drive improved organisational metrics.
- Lead implementation of best practices, standards and procedures - including quality and delivery methodologies.
- Ensuring delivery of the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of development and integrations created in agreement with the Head of Engineering.
- Provide impact analysis on proposed upgrades and enhancements to guide delivery impacts and trade offs.
- Develops and implements strategies for continuous improvement of Engineering within Cin7.
- Leverage your technical depth to set a personal standard for excellence within the team and act as an Engineering advocate across the wider business.

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, or 10 years industry experience preferred
- Prior experience in a technical and people leadership role
- Prior experience and good understanding of integration patterns.
- Prior experience working with support teams.
- Knowledge of process innovation and problem solving
- Ability to use market and competitor knowledge to implement best practice and processes.
- Track record of developing and implementing strategies to deliver better customer experiences.
