**Community Support Worker (West Auckland)**
- **Permanent, Full-Time **(40 hours per week)
- **Primarily Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm **(however, when required support will be available 24/7)
- **Staff will primarily be based at Frost rd Hub, Mt Roskill. Main team is based at Apollo Hub, Rosedale and expectation is that staff will attend team meetings and orientation at Apollo hub.**:

- **Supports will be delivered to Whai Ora residing in West Auckland and on rare occasion North Shore.**:

- **Pay Equity: $22.49 to $28.25 per hour **(depending on qualifications, as the role falls under the Pay Equity settlement for Mental Health)

**The Service**:
Our Community Support Service consists of 3 mobile teams supporting people in their recovery from mental health issues by offering a wide range of practical and empowering services.

In Waitemata, we also provide Packages of Care to those who require higher levels of flexible and responsive support. These care packages are designed to navigate and coordinate a way through complex and challenging situations. Additionally, we also have a multi-lingual, culturally sensitive Asian Support team, who work with those whose English language skills are limited to help them feel part of the community and explain what services and agencies are available.

In Central Auckland, we also provide services to meet the needs of families/whānau where a parent experiences mental health or addictions issues. Working with children and adolescents, this often necessitates a different approach.

**Role**:
Community Support Workers, we believe, are the key ingredient for successful client outcomes. Consequently, we provide ample and on-going tools and encouragement to develop, grow and flourish in the role, striving to ensure an environment of learning, teamwork, and enjoyment.

Effective communication and a person-centred approach are vital for this role as you will be working alongside clinical teams and other community agencies to ensure a wraparound service to the people we support.

**You will**:

- Have a National Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 or equivalent
- Hold a Full NZ Drivers Licence
- Be eligible to work in NZ and have a valid/current work visa, residency, or citizenship
- Have a passion for walking along side those in need, supporting on-going goals on the pathway to recovery.
- Have excellent communication skills to support the success in the role as well as help build and maintain relationships while networking in the community.
