**POSITION**:

- Venue Supervisor | The Tuning Fork, Auckland
- 20 hours per week (please note: these hours will vary from week to week depending on which events are taking place)

**ABOUT US**:
The Tuning Fork is a club venue attached to Spark Arena in Auckland city. We host live music, comedy, corporate/charity events and more with a total capacity of approx 450. The Bar & Venue Manager is seeking a Venue Supervisor to join the team on a casual basis to assist in the day-to-day running of the venue. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build their skill set and gain experience in the events industry, which could also fit into their routine alongside work elsewhere, study, etc.

**SUMMARY**:
Reporting to The Tuning Fork Bar & Venue Manager, this individual will be responsible for ensuring operational show day aspects of the bar and venue are taken care of. These include ticketing delivery through Moshtix, overseeing room setup, attending to the needs of the client/performer(s), and supervising bar and security staff to ensure the effective delivery of food and beverage for each show, in compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manage the bar, leading and supporting the bar team in all duties
- Oversee inventory; stocktaking and tailoring service to the demographic of each event
- Carry out the duties of a Venue Rep; managing the venue on event days, being the first and last contact with the client/performer(s), ensuring scheduled run times are adhered to, coordinating with bar and security staff to ensure their responsibilities are being fulfilled
- Ensuring punters and clients/performer(s) receive outstanding service and hospitality
- Timely and accurate post-event reporting

**ESSENTIALS**:

- Experience in team leadership in a hospitality environment
- Minimum 2 years in the service of alcohol
- Duty Manager's certificate ideal, LCQ essential
- A passion for live music and nightlife culture

**PREFERRED**:

- Experience working with performers and production crew
- Experience in sole charge of a venue
- Desire to grow and develop an career in events/entertainment
