**What you will be doing**

With the changing dynamics in the insurance industry, this is an exciting time to join Tower and make a real difference to our products.

Reporting to our Chief Underwriting Officer, you will play an integral part in this journey by developing attractive, innovative, and profitable insurance products that align with our risk appetite. As the Head of Product, you will support Tower's strategy through product ownership, delivering beautifully simple and rewarding experiences for our customers. This role involves working closely with key stakeholders to support the profitable growth of Tower's products through the development, management, and governance of our product suite in both New Zealand and the Pacific. You will work closely with Portfolio and Pricing team to continue developing Tower's Risk Based Pricing Approach.

This position is crucial to the senior leadership of our business, driving innovation, market competitiveness, and commercial success. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure customer value and experience while aligning with Tower's risk appetite. Additionally, this role will support Tower in achieving its strategic goals and maintaining its competitive edge in the market.

**Dive into the Heart of Your Responsibilities**:

- Drive the strategic planning for Tower's product offering in conjunction with the pricing and risk selection teams for New Zealand and Pacific
- Develop innovative product offerings from conception through to launch to build deeper customer relationships; products could be Tower or partnered
- Develop performance metrics and monitor against governance criteria to achieve target product and customer profit margins in line with strategy / plans
- Develop competitive renewal and new business optimisation to meet Tower's strategic objectives
- Develop policy enhancements through working collaboratively with claims teams and monitoring customer insights

**What You'll Need**

**You will also be able to demonstrate**:

- 10 plus years' experience working in general insurance
- Strong understanding of general insurance principles, and regulatory environment (including CoFI)
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management
- Strong commercial acumen
- The ability to deal with a complex operational environment, undergoing significant change.
- Results and service driven with focus on reporting through smart data insights
- Ability to understand pricing and risk modelling
- Strong understanding of product launch and monitoring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal / relationship management skills
