Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do
You will lead a transformational work programme across primary and community care in conjunction with Te Whatu Ora and Te Akawhai Ora.
The Family and Community Health Policy group covers the Women's Health Strategy, healthy aging, disability, homelessness, rainbow health, family and sexual violence, and child and youth health and wellbeing.
You will develop and implement the work programmes within the Family & Community Health Policy group. You will lead your group in delivering quality policy advice to improve health outcomes for New Zealanders in a complex and challenging policy space.

Ko ngā pukenga ōu - What You'll Bring
- Experience in leading policy programmes to deliver on Government and Ministry priorities
- An understanding of the health policy landscape in New Zealand
- Strong leadership experience in providing direction to your team and collaborating, participating, and influencing to achieve successful outcomes with our Senior Leadership Team and the wider Ministry
- Technical experience in developing and implementing strategic plans that align with the vision of the Directorate and Ministry
- Excellent stakeholder/relationship management skills, including the ability to build collaborative relationships with the wider health sector, government, and external stakeholders
- Understanding of the priority of equity and Treaty obligations in policy development and implementation.
