**Tenei turanga - About the Role**:
Mediators play a critical role under the provisions of the Employment Relations Act, and they're involved in a wide range of employment relations activities - from helping people to resolve employment relationship problems and disputes to working with employers and employees to help them maintain constructive relationships.
We're looking for a person who enjoys working with people in high conflict to help them work through a process in a way that is culturally appropriate and meets diverse needs.

**Skills and Experience Required**
- You must be comfortable working on a wide range of employment situations
- Experience working with relevant employment legislation and understanding of dispute resolution processes
- Mediation accreditation or equivalent experience
- Experience working with culturally diverse parties in professional and emotionally sensitive environments
- Any volunteer work or qualification that is relevant to the skills and experience for the role.
- Good written and oral communications with people of various levels and backgrounds
- Flexible, agile and resilient for a fast-paced environment
- Must have legal right to live and work in NZ
- You must have the ability to travel
