Engineer - Water

This is a fantastic opportunity for a **Water Engineer **to join our national water team in **Palmerston North.**

**The role**:

- Core function includes investigation, design and implementation of a range of projects involving stormwater, water supply, wastewater, transport and multidisciplinary projects.
- Develop good business relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure required project outcomes are met and client satisfaction is maintained at a high standard.
- Preparation of high-quality reports, correspondence and other deliverables, as required.
- Perform office and site-based roles, including working with virtual teams across GHD offices nationally and internationally.
- Provide guidance to graduate design engineers on projects and be able to train and mentor them.

**About you**:

- A relevant university degree in Civil engineering with at least 5+ year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Knowledge and understanding of industry design standards and guidelines
- Working knowledge of public and private sector
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Design software skills (i.e., **12D, Civil3D, ACAD, GIS **)
- Ability to nurture and develop teamwork within the group
- Organised in multitasking of self and others and able to meet deadlines
- Ability to be proactive and take ownership of projects
- Self-motivated and energetic
- Flexible in your approach to challenges
