Stormwater Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Stormwater Engineer to join a forward-thinking organisation committed to delivering sustainable and practical infrastructure solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in protecting communities, enhancing urban environments, and managing vital water resources.

In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and delivery of stormwater systems that meet regulatory standards and community needs. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop practical, innovative solutions to address flooding, water quality, and long-term sustainability challenges.

• Plan, design, and oversee stormwater management systems including drainage networks, retention ponds, and green infrastructure.
• Undertake hydrology and hydraulic modelling to assess stormwater flows and system performance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local and national stormwater regulations.
• Prepare feasibility studies, project reports, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders.
• Provide specialist advice on stormwater impacts for land development and infrastructure projects.
• Support sustainability initiatives with a strong focus on water quality and resource management.

You will bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-10 years' practical experience in the stormwater industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of stormwater regulations, drainage design, and hydrology.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
