**About the role**

The Variance Response Management Registered Nurse (VRM RN) provides comprehensive patient care and interventions in a variety of settings and provides optimum care in areas of the hospital where the need for response is identified/required via the Hospital at Glance Screen (HAAG) or Duty Manager. Variable areas for response and/or tasks are variable according to the needs of the hospital at any given time. After identified response is assessed and resolved, the VRM nurse will be re-directed according to need. The VRM nurse provides care, advice and support to patients, independently and in collaboration with other health professionals.

**About You**

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:

- Excellent communication, problem solving and assessment skills
- A minimum of 3 years’ acute clinical experience in a NZ hospital setting
- Able to work in a MDT and navigate challenging situations
- Ability to work in a complex changing environment and be able to manage multiple competing priorities
- Motivation and self-direction
- Current competent PDRP portfolio minimum
- Current NZ Annual Practising Certificate
