**Team**: What we do
Seager is a 24 bed extended treatment unit that
provides 24 hour care for consumers who are experiencing mental illness. Our
model of care focuses on integrated multidisciplinary team working and
providing high level care for consumers in the least restrictive manner.
Seager staff work closely with the SMHS
outpatient teams and other community services. We are made up of
passionate clinicians who work in the consumers - best interests at all times.
We have a supportive team culture and encourage opportunities for growth and
development.
We are
currently recruiting a full time Clinical
Psychologist to join our team of dedicated health professionals striving to
provide the best quality care to consumers and their families/whanau.
This position is based at the Seager Clinic at the Princess Margaret
Hospital.
**The Role**: Where
you fit in
**In this role, you will be responsible for**:
- Delivering comprehensive
psychological assessment and therapy to support consumers and their
families/whanau;
- Providing Clinical
Psychology interventions for adult clients experiencing serious mental health
concerns;
- Being an active
participant in our multidisciplinary team, working closely with colleagues
to ensure the best outcomes for consumersYour skills will include:
- A minimum of a Diploma in
Clinical Psychology (or overseas equivalent), and Registration in the
Clinical Scope of Practice with the NZ Psychologists - Board;
- Previous working experience
in Adult Mental Health is advantageous; however, not essential - we would
welcome new graduates to apply.
- A foundation in Trauma
Informed Care is desirable. Additional competencies in other
evidence-based treatments will be an advantage;
- Excellent interpersonal
skills and organisational skills are vital to work as part of the wider
multidisciplinary team;Mō
