**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**:
A talented and passionate bat ecologist who has specialist knowledge in New Zealand bats.

Someone who values diversity, and enjoys working with a team of dedicated ecologists.

**MUST HAVE**:

- Consultancy experience (desirable)
- Post Graduate Degree (MSc or PhD) in Bat Ecology
- DOC Certificate for Radio tracking for locating bat roosts, and bat handling certification
- Strong New Zealand ecology knowledge
- Sound field skills covering a range of ecosystems, habitats, and taxa
- Comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand bats and ecological management
- Excellent report writing skills and networking skills
- Ability to communicate on appropriate technical and commercial levels to a diverse range of current potential clients
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- 4WD experience

**Hours**: Preferred hours are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (flexibility will be considered).
