**Company Description** You can help bring our villages to life**
At Summerset, from the moment we start developing a village, to when our residents call it home, it’s the passion and dedication of our people that brings our villages to life. We are one team united by being part of something bigger - to bring the best of life to our residents.
The way we work is guided by our values - One Team, Strong Enough to Care and Strive to Be the Best. We know it takes a collective effort to bring a village to life and help it thrive, so Summerset is a place where everyone’s uniqueness and diversity can shine.
When you’re part of the Summerset team, you belong to a place where your work has real impact, who you are is fully embraced and where your career flourishes.
**Job Description** Kaitiaki at Summerset**
A Kaitiaki at Summerset is much more than just an aged care worker. A Kaitiaki is a trustee, minder, custodian, steward and guardian. So, if you're kind, people-centric, empathetic, and ready to put a smile on our residents' faces, we want to hear from you.
**What is the role?**
As a Kaitiaki, you're there to help provide the safest, healthiest, and most enjoyable lifestyle possible for our residents. This role is really special, because it gives you the chance to make a difference to our residents' quality life, without being a caregiver or providing personal care like bathing and changing.
Day-to-day, your activities will include assisting with recreational and group exercises, helping the physiotherapists and assisting with eating and drinking at mealtimes. You will be there during busy periods when other staff may be providing care to specific residents - think conversations, manicures, walks, laughs and improving independence and autonomy through exercises.
We know that this role makes a difference - our residents love having someone there whose sole job is to spend time with them and put a smile on their face.

**Qualifications** Am I the right fit?**
If you are people-centric, respectful, considerate and want to make a difference, you will be the perfect Kaitiaki. It is not a caregiver role - so if you're wanting to get into this work without the physical demands of providing personal care, this is for you.
You might be a school leaver looking for work, or maybe you've had some time off and are looking to get back into the workforce. The role would also be good for those looking for part-time work as we have AM and PM shifts available. You could even be studying physiotherapy and looking to get some experience in
No specific experience is required - we'll provide you with training. At Summerset, our main focus is on bringing the Best of Life to our residents, so if you think you can help, we want to hear from you.
**Additional Information** What else is in it for me?**
You will benefit from all our great Summerset employee benefits, including:
- Summerset benefits package, which includes health cover, meal allowances, a clothing allocation, discounts at a range of suppliers and birthday leave
- A weekend rate of an additional 40% of the hourly rate
- A variety of AM or PM shifts available to suit your unique schedule and needs
- Training opportunities - we will support you to achieve your National Certificate in Health, Disability and Aged Support to at least Level 2, as well as other modules in dementia care, mobility therapy, and more
