**Our commercial Laboratory has an opportunity for someone to join us in a full time position (based in our Wellington Laboratory) as an Entry Level Technician.**

**T**his is a permanent position in a dynamic, challenging and rewarding environment based in our Wellington branch. The role is laboratory based **and involves receiving samples from customers, preparing samples and analyses of the asbestos samples.

**Working hours will be 40 hours per week, typically from 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday.**

**Key focus for the role**
- Conducting lab administration duties to ensure efficient ongoing delivery of a quality analytical service to our clients
- Working closely with the extended team throughout Hill Laboratories
- Supporting our clients’ needs
- Customer Service
- Preparation of air filters for fibre concentration estimates
- Preparation of bulk materials for asbestos presence / absence
- Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Use of our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to record asbestos sample preparation data.

**Experience and skills**
- Previous industry experience in asbestos industry or have a keen desire to gain experience in asbestos analysis (preferred but not essential)
- Customer service & communication skills are essential to the role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A focus on quality and systems, and attention to detail
